Once the shot was fired, the budding candidates and professionals were not idle, each giving the best of themselves. With the taste test, they have to find the ingredients only by their taste and fragrance blindfolded. "This is the blind recognition test. This time, the candidates don't have to cook anything. But they will still have to use their senses, which are so precious in the art of cooking! Just by the taste and smell, to recognise the different elements that make up the plate, and then put them on a list," explains Anjan Andriamo-rasata, a manager at the RTA station.

Relaxing time
The perfume island is also an opportunity for candidates to discover flavours that they had never suspected before and that will contribute to enriching their culinary capital.
For this first edition, thanks to the partnership of the Regional Tourist Office in Madagascar (ORTM), "Sunny Master Cook" travels to exceptional places to enrich the culinary culture of the candidates and surprise the viewers. From Antsirabe to Nosy-Be via Nosy Iranja, and Nosy Komba without forgetting a getaway to Sakatia, the candidates were treated to a moment of relaxation and intense pleasure. Unprecedented rings in majestic natural settings awaited the competitors. These trips are above all an opportunity to meet other flavours in order to discover all the richness of the gastronomy of the Big Island.
The four candidates, who have passed the tests, will take part in the grand final to be held on 25 November in Antananarivo. The two winners in the two categories of "Sunny Master Cook" will, in the end, have the privilege of winning a ticket to France, the very heart of world gastronomy, for a two-month training at the restaurant Étang des Bois in Vieilles, town on Joudry, France. The two winners will have to follow an advanced training course in cooking in France for a period of two months and will receive compensation in euros. They will also benefit from other support. The next episode of "Sunny Master Cook" will be broadcast on RTA this Saturday
