Fishing in madagascar

It is at the start of the big blue that we propose you to embark for unforgettable fishing days. Palangrotte, jigging, big tail, throwing, drifting ... everything is possible... to consume without moderation.

The possibilities are numerous, it is not uncommon to practice the 3 techniques – in the same day, in the sandstone of the tides that dictate the procedure to follow.

It is only a few miles from the coast that fishing is practiced on the shoals, along the drop-offs and around the islets.

A good day always starts with a game of trolling. It is above a flight of birds, that many hunts of small fish and sardines often reveal the presence of bonito. Raw material, used alive in slow drag, to flapper in fast train or only in belly about thirty meters behind the boat. It is the bonito that will allow the capture of large predators such as tuna, marlin or swordfish.

On the way to the longline and jigging spots, it is not uncommon to come across the race of a whale, schools of dolphins in full hunting or even whale sharks.

At the time of the stall, along the large drop-offs, boat drifting, it is still the bonito, whole or cut into pieces (according to the ambition of each) that will go to find groupers, red carp, mackerel, tuna dog teeth, jobfish ... and many more.

A popper throw in a jack hunting round will surprise many by the power of the attack of a beautiful ignobilis!

A great fishing for the big blue hotel

We had a great stay at Le Grand Bleu by doing many sport fishing trips with Guillaume from Pêche Sportive Madagascar.

We made beautiful fishing trips on a large one where fish prowl in quantity.

They are called mackerel, jacks, red carp, groupers, chicken fish, dogtooth tuna, even sharks, wahoos, sailfish, barracudas, tropical soles, also squid, etc ...

We spent three nights there. It was quite exceptional with the skipper, the sailor Geraldo, and also the cook! We spent some pretty magical moments together in the open sea. The catamaran is important enough that there is no promiscuity. Exceptional moments, day and night. We liked it very much. Guillaume and his wife Magali have planned all the stewardship for us. Even also THB beers. They took us to the beach which is 200 meters aboard their 4×4 pickups...

We were also happy to return to the hotel after our three nights on board. The hotel also offered us many excursions to other islands. We were happy, which made it possible to get back to sea again.

We really liked the island of Nosy Iranja: a little gem with its white sand beaches and turquoise waters. Also Nosy Sakatia, where we saw a lot of turtles moving in the sea, a place called the Pool. It is very beautiful to see turtles evolve above algae.

We also did a whole morning quad bike outing with Jacques. We crisscrossed tracks, bypassed a whole lake that is sacred, also visited a village where we also gave objects to the population and ended with Mont Passot: a very beautiful lesson in life.

    Guillaume's website is: http://www.peche-sportive-madagascar.com/

Thank you again and congratulations for what you give: pleasure.
